Condolences on the passing of Zurab Tsereteli

Vladimir Putin extended his condolences to the family and friends of Zurab Tsereteli on his passing.

The message reads, in part:

“A gifted artist and sculptor, a prominent figure in the rich tapestry of our multi-ethnic cultural heritage, has passed away. Zurab Tsereteli devoted his whole life to the selfless pursuit of art and was always receptive to noble causes and meaningful initiatives.

The cherished memory of this extraordinary man will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, students, and all those who admired his boundless creativity and unique talent.”

Zurab Tsereteli passed away in Moscow on April 22 at the age of 91.
